Communities of practice

  • Lesson 4 of 7
  • Senior A
On This Lesson 4 topics

This lesson is planned. The outline below lists the topics it will cover. The full lesson has not been published yet.

In this lesson

start communities that last beyond the launch event.

Planned topics

  • A community is a group with a shared craft that meets regularly to learn and solve problems.
  • Start with real pain and two or three committed leaders, not a mailing list.
  • Keep a cadence, a small output (a guideline, a toolkit, a talk), and a rotating host.
  • Fade comes from no purpose, no sponsor, and no visible results; plan to hand off leadership.
