Deciding without all the facts

  • Lesson 1 of 7
  • Senior A
On This Lesson 4 topics

This lesson is planned. The outline below lists the topics it will cover. The full lesson has not been published yet.

In this lesson

accept that important decisions are made before the facts are in, and make that safe.

Planned topics

  • Waiting for certainty is itself a decision, usually an expensive one.
  • Separate reversible decisions (decide fast) from costly-to-reverse ones (invest in learning first).
  • Uncertainty has kinds: facts you could look up, facts you could test, and futures nobody knows.
  • The goal is a good decision process, not a guaranteed outcome.
