Reviewing beyond style
On This Lesson 4 topics
This lesson is planned. The outline below lists the topics it will cover. The full lesson has not been published yet.
In this lesson
review for correctness, design, and operability.
Planned topics
- Let tools handle formatting and style; spend human attention on behavior.
- Correctness: edge cases, error handling, concurrency, transactions, security.
- Design: boundaries, naming, coupling, whether the change fits the architecture.
- Operability: logs, metrics, timeouts, migrations, rollback, config.
- Read the tests first: do they prove the behavior, or only the happy path?
- Comments should teach: say what, why, and a suggestion or question.

Demonstration
a weak comment ("change this") versus a teaching one ("This retries without a limit; a failing provider would flood it. Consider a max of 3 with backoff, see MID-023").
